What kind of painting tool should I use with acrylic paint on a canvas?

I want to paint a canvas all one background but I don’t want to use a paint brush because I don’t want the “streak” look. I’m using acrylic paint (its a cheap project) with glitter mixed in but I dont know what kind of tool I should use to get a clean, background look.

I’d use a roller, myself. Simple, fast, and gets the job done. Make sure that the roller is one of the smooth ones, not the usual fluffy type – those leave a texture behind.
